HIRING: Technical Director, Google Public Sector Technology
Washington D.C.
Qualifications
In the effort to promote innovation, the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is a forward-focused innovation organization with the goal of building pathways between research and the strategic product roadmap. Sometimes this requires concepts to be envisioned, vetted, and added to our backlog. It can also mean connecting the dots between early stage technologies inside of various organizations at Google and spotting opportunities where slight modifications to existing platforms and products can unlock businesses. As a Technical Director, you will provide expert advice to Google, customer, and partner C-level decision-makers, often by translating the potential of technology spanning wide domains to solve critical United States public sector challenges. This requires personal engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders, including travelers inside and outside of Google. You will also recommend to Google leadership significant opportunities for technology development.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience delivering and landing large and complex engineering efforts in government.
Experience leading a team while leveraging organizational depth across functions for the benefit of transformation projects with clients and/or a company.
Ability to travel required up to 50% of the time.
