Army Futures Command just announced the US Army's participation in SXSW this year.

From March 8-16th, AFC will join innovators, technology professionals and industry leaders in Austin, TX to showcase Army technology and explore innovative partnerships.

While official programming requires a SXSW badge, Capital Factory and other industry partners will be hosting events for the defense technology community.

One of our favorite industry events, held on March 9^th, is the Space and Defense Innovation (SDI) Showcase and VIP Reception.

In its third year, the Space and Defense Innovation Showcase and VIP Reception is a highly curated, invite-only reception for space and defense leaders. It includes a demo showcase during the day, featuring innovative AI, Cyber, Space, Energy, and other defense technology. The invite-only evening reception is designed to expand networks with ideal contacts in the space and defense innovation ecosystem. As a long-time partner of the SDI event, this is where the Silicon Nation team will be on Saturday!
