Lydia is an inter-disciplinary professional who advises clients on strategy and technological innovation in the context of global macro trends, geopolitics, international economics, climatic factors and demographic change. She works with US Special Operations on emerging technologies, provides technology expertise for the United Nations where she addressed the United Nations Convention on Certain Weapons on Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems, she participates in high level NATO events, and speaks internationally on the future of warfare and strategic challenges facing industry and nation-states alike . This year she is launching her fashion label Empowering Workwear with the bespoke “Fortune 500 Shirt” addressing gender inequality in the work place and the “Hypersonic Deterrence Earrings” whose design compares a ballistic trajectory with a hypersonic glide vehicle trajectory in efforts to illustrate the strategic dilemmas that these hypersonic weapons systems bring. Her fashion has been described as an “art installation that you wear”. Her international work at the intersection of national security and technology led to her finding creative ways to express new technologies to high level decision makers. This has spurred her artistic initiatives #ArtAboutAI and a penta-lingual card game called Sapien 2.0 on emerging technologies that affect our human experience from birth to death.
