What you will see in this newsletter
influencer profiles, emerging technologies, events, innovation programs, etc.
DIIE newsletter will include several types of regular content for those who are interested in getting more plugged in across the innovation ecosystem. Here’s a quick overview of what you will see. Some will be available online to the public, and some content will only be distributed to list members.
Influencer Profiles
There are a number of ways to organize an ecosystem around subsystems, but in many cases it is helpful to understand a human network around the individuals and groups that form the connective tissue. DIIE Influencer Profiles will provide succinct interviews (written, podcast, and video) with leaders you might already know, or some who you don’t. We’ll ask them about their approach to innovation and how to get involved with their initiatives.
Government Program Overviews
There are a lot of government programs designed to bring innovation in, but you have to hunt for them. We will curate the announcements, links, and calls to action so you can get involved and share it with your colleagues.
Funding Sources
Whether you are a solo entrepreneur, a startup, a researcher, or an intrapreneur within government, the fact remains that great ideas often need some funding to get started, and once they get started, they need more funding to grow. This means loans, grants, contracts, private and venture equity. There are many challenges to funding when it comes to federal contracting. We’ll aggregate funding information for you so you can get fuel for your innovation rocket ship.
Problems to Solve
Perhaps you are an entrepreneur who has ideas all of the time, but you need a concrete challenge to tackle. We will curate lists of national security problems to solve. Some of these will be directly connected to published government requests for solutions. Some will be anonymized based on government innovation funnels.
Roll-Ups
This will be our most common type of content. Roll-ups will include short announcements from a long list of organizations tied to DoD and IC innovation. This list will grow every month and we welcome suggestions for new groups to track.
